Snail Mail

I love snail mail. The simple thrill of receiving a letter in the mail, from someone you love, is one of my favourite things in life.

In this age of modern technology, where the majority of messages are emailed, tweeted or texted, it's becoming a rare treat to find a hand-written envelope has popped through the letterbox.

Personally, I'm sending a lot of snail mail at the moment because we're busily writing our wedding 'thank you' cards!
Not only are we thanking everyone who made the effort to join us on our wedding day, we're also saying a HUGE thank you to all of the lovely people in our life who generously contributed to our honeymoon fund.

Unlike a lot of couples, we didn't have a honeymoon destination in mind when we got married. There were a lot of contenders around the globe but, after much debate, we have finally settled on a winner. And the winner is.....

.CALIFORNIA!

We'll be heading out to the Golden State for three weeks in October, hiring a car and travelling along the coast. Neither of us has ever visited California before and our anticipation and excitement is growing by the day!
We'd love to hear any California recommendations you guys have....top tips on towns we just have to stop and visit, great places to stay, eat, shop. We need the low-down on everything!

  1. Oh how fun! I love snail mail too! Well, not bills. No bills. That doesn't count.
Have so much fun on your honeymoon! You should stop by Big Tree State Park! The trees were so big and pretty I cried. No joke. Let me know if you have any questions! I lived in Cali for a bit. :)

    1. Hey Christine - we're flying into and out of San Francisco. Trying to fit in journeys to L.A., Yosemite, Napa and San Diego....a colleague told me I should stop at a place called Carmel. Do you know of any must-stop-at towns along the coast? Thanks so much!
